Gull Service Station Photo Shoot August 23
Back in June on the corner of Bob Robertson Drive and Garlick Street in Ravenswood, it was noticed that work had started on the new Gull service station.
As we start a lot of our runs from Garlick Street, the idea to fill the forecourt with Mustangs was hatched. This crazy idea was put to our club captain over dinner and drinks and met with a strong approval. Our first email to Gull resulted in a prompt reply “what a great idea”.
Andrew Lange was club choice for photography and a polite ask of club members Marcel and Bianca Koks for Drone Photos. So this crazy idea was shared with the committee on the Tuesday 15th August for a photo shoot in 4 days time on Saturday 19th August. So started the Team effort getting members to a photo shoot. The response overwhelming with fifty three cars on the forecourt. While this was instigated by Peter and Pauline Watt the effort by club captain Dennis O’Brien and club president Ray van Hamelsveld and 53 club members was fantastic.
A big thank you to all and a special thanks to Marcel and Bianca from Peter and Pauline Watt
(Special thanks to Andrew Lange for the photos and Marcel and Bianca Koks for the drone photos)
