Our members meeting with Mike Guymon from the Mustang Club of California at Tai Tapu Christchurch.

He is the Mustang Club of California Ambassador and assistant editor of The Running Horse Magazine in California, asked if the club could arrange a meeting with some of our members and do a photo shoot.
Ray VH suggested the beautiful Tai Tapu Church grounds would be a great location for the photo shoot and meet up.

Mike is a United Airlines Captain flying the new Christchurch – San Francisco – Christchurch direct route and was staying at The Crown Plaza.
He gave the group a talk about himself, his introduction to Mustangs the Mustang Club of America and his desire to contact Mustang clubs on his stopovers in the various countries, meeting members and writing articles about the clubs for the MCA magazine.
Mike is a very enthusiastic Mustang owner and also has a couple of concourse 71 Mustangs back in this home state of California.

Michael, Mike’s son came along to the meet up. His highlight was when Ashley Smith offered him the keys to his 1965 Mustang to drive from the church to the Tai Tapu Hotel. (Photo of Michael driving the 1965 Mustang)

After the meet up we all ended up at the Tai Tapu Hotel for some beverages and snacks.

What a couple of hospitable guy’s and great Ambassadors for the Ford Mustang brand.
